Akantronics (akantronics.gr) is a small web development studio. The data controller for personal data collected through this website is Akantronics. For privacy matters, contact info@akantronics.gr.
When you use the contact form, we process the information you provide (such as name, email, and message) solely to respond to your request and, if you proceed to a project, to prepare a proposal or contract.
Technical server logs may include IP address, browser type, and timestamps for security, abuse prevention, and service stability.
Contact form processing is based on our legitimate interest in responding to business inquiries (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)), your consent where required (Article 6(1)(a)), and, if you proceed to a project, contract preparation or performance.
Contact messages: kept for up to 24 months from the last communication if no engagement follows; if a project or contract arises, for as long as needed to deliver it and then according to tax and legal record-keeping obligations.
Hosting technical logs: typically up to 90 days, for security and stability.
Rate-limiting data (IP address): processed temporarily to prevent contact form abuse and not used for profiling.
We use cookies and similar browser storage technologies. Choices are grouped into three categories, which you can manage from the cookie banner on your first visit or at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
Essential: required for basic site operation (for example language preference, theme, accessibility settings, and storing your cookie choices). These do not require separate consent.
Analytics: if you allow them, we use aggregate traffic measurement tools (Vercel Analytics, Speed Insights) without building user profiles. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)).
Functional: if you allow them, Google reCAPTCHA is loaded to protect the contact form from spam. reCAPTCHA may set third-party cookies and process usage data; the legal basis is your consent. Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and Terms (https://policies.google.com/terms) apply. Without this category the contact form cannot be submitted; you can always email us directly instead.
Your choices are stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and you can change or withdraw them at any time through the cookie settings.
We use authorised sub-processors to operate the site, with data processing agreements (DPAs) where required:
Vercel Inc. — website hosting, technical logs, and (if you allow analytics cookies) Vercel Analytics / Speed Insights.
Google LLC — reCAPTCHA (if you allow functional cookies) to protect the contact form.
Resend or SMTP provider — delivery of contact form emails to us.
Upstash — temporary IP-based rate limiting to prevent contact form abuse.
Processing may take place in the EU/EEA or other regions. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (for example standard contractual clauses) or adequacy decisions.
Under the GDPR you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability where applicable, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
To exercise your rights, email info@akantronics.gr with a clear description of your request. We respond within 30 days; for complex requests this may be extended by up to 60 days, and we will inform you.
We may ask for reasonable identity checks to prevent unauthorised disclosure of third-party data.
You can withdraw cookie consent at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
